This is a poem by one of the writers in my group.  I thought it was a profound mantra/anthem of realization.  The poet is NatB:

Tired of going through life feeling like I'm the butt of everyones
jokes, tired of feeling like Im being choked. Tired of wondering where
lies my happiness beyond my sorrows, tired of wishing for a better
tomorrow. Tired of living from paycheck to paycheck, tired of my
personal life being a wreck. Tired of pleasing everyone but me, tired
of being the one that they always need. Tired of needing a shoulder to
cry on, tired of all of my friends being gone. Tired of not having
someone to love, tired of not being who you are thinking of. Tired of
being stressed out, tired of living my days in doubt. Tired of always
having to lie, tired of choosing sides.Tired of not knowing my head
from my tail, tired of fearing that I will fail. Tired of wanting more,
tired of seeing you walk out the door. Tired of being someone that I'm
not, tired of letting you call all the shots. Tired of not knowing what
to do, tired of believing in you. I'm tired of the arguments and the
fights, so tired I just walked right out of your life.....
